About Me

An international human rights lawyer, consultant and entrepreneur with twenty years working across sectors including international NGOs like Amnesty International, international organisations like the OSCE, EU and UN, business facing organisations and public oversight roles.

She has experience across a range of issues including privacy, human rights oversight and enforcement frameworks, accountability and combating corruption, children's rights, the environment, security and human rights. Susie has a talent for translating experiences in one area into innovative strategies for promoting human rights, the rule of law and social justice in other spheres. She has been actively engaged with human rights developments in the context of Brexit.

Originally from the Isle of Man, Susie understands the challenges faced by small jurisdictions and island communities in relation to human rights, both internally and through their interactions with the outside world and is currently engaged in research on these issues. As Interception of Communications Commissioner on the Isle of Man she has explored the international aspects of privacy and communication in the internet age.

She is interested in opportunities to support and develop new aspects of human rights practice and policy through research, scoping, strategy or legal advice. As an experienced trainer, she is available to design and deliver bespoke human rights training on a range of issues.
